Question / Help Can I get better settings please? x264 is a bit laggy.

I'd like to start recording and streaming. I've tried setting my OBS to run on NVIDIA instead of Intel. That really helped so I didn't have to use multi adapter. My upload speed is 6520 which is average I believe. I'm trying to stream games like CSGO and League of legends. I heard x264 is laggy, but it doesn't seem to run fluidly at 2000 bits, but NVENC works at 2500ish which is fluid.

Specs below!

Intel i5 6300 HQ @ 2.3GHz

GTX 960M

8GB DDR4 RAM

NVENC shouldn't be used for streaming because it is very bad at low bitrates (hardware encoders trade quality for performance). You should probably use x264.

Use the estimator for help on settings. Just put in the information and it will give you some settings. You should play around with the settings that the estimator gives you until your stream is good.
