can i add my microphone to stereo mix or mix stereo and send it to be captured with desktop audio?
obs desktop audio doesnot include my microphone. it records all other sound being played.

Is the default configuration not enough?

Two sources, one for each thing that you named, that combine into the one soundtrack?

Just don't use the "Default" device. Always choose a specific device as shown here. "Default" is good to prove that a fresh installation works, but the same mechanism that makes it a good proof, will also mess up a stream or recording sometime later, without warning. Don't let it switch to a different device on its own; always choose a specific one here.
