My FireWire card is a PCI Express Card 1394a (3+1 ports.
In OBS I only can choose for "Microsoft DV Camera and VCR".
The driver is VIA 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller and the driver is from Microsoft, date 21-6-2006 10.0.26100.1150.

My camcorder is a Sony Digital 8 DCR-TRV210E PAL.If Windows can see the camcorder over FireWire, that’s already a good sign. But usually the video won’t just appear automatically.
In OBS you normally need to add a Video Capture Device source and select the camcorder from the device list. Also make sure the camcorder is in playback/VCR mode, not camera mode.
Another thing to check here is whether Windows installed the legacy IEEE 1394 driver. Some older DV cameras only work properly with the 1394 OHCI Legacy driver.
If you can, tell us the exact Sony camcorder model and what source you tried to add in OBS.
