Camlink 4K Jerky Video

We have an Elgato Camlink 4K that we only use once a year for streaming our Upward basketball games at our church. It worked fine last year. We are using the same computer (Dell i5 with Windows 10 & 16GB ram) and camera (Canon Vixia HRF80) and OBS (V27.1.3). We are using a USB 3.0 port but sometimes the Camlink software shows it as USB 2.0 (even though Windows device manager shows it as USB 3.0 and functioning properly) but restarting it will usually get it to work as USB 3.0. But even then when we pan the camera we have very jerky video. Also even when it is at USB 3.0 the video is fine in the Camlink software. OBS also shows missed frames due to rendering lag. Sorry we don't have a current log file from this computer. Any ideas why this would have worked fine in OBS last year but not this year?

Lots of things change in a year, and if you don't take those updates, you risk getting hacked. It could be any number of things. If you've been away for that long, you're essentially starting over with little relevance for what it was then.

What GPU do you have?

And see if you can get a log file that includes the problem. That's usually helpful.
