Camera Periodically Freaks and has to be reset in obs. seemingly only in obs

As the title says, the camera will freak out and layer after a random amount of time with no peak in cpu, gpu, memory or anything. there is no way to get it to occur it just happens and gets stuck that way until reset and it will most likely continue to do it in quick succession if I reset it without restarting obs.
