Question / Help Camera Not being Recognized in OBS?

Hello, so I have a USB camera. This is the product here:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VFLWOC0/

I am also using Windows 10 64-bit by the way.

When I open the official Camera app built into Windows 10, it works as shown here:

But, when I use OBS Studio (both 32bit or 64bit), I get this black screen here as if nothing is being detected:

I made sure to close the Camera app to be sure nothing else is using the webcam but im stuck. Here is my logs from OBS after trying to run the 64bit OBS Studio without admin privilages (Note that I tried running with admin privilages on both 32bit and 64bit but nothing worked)

EDIT: One thing I forgot to add that I noticed. I have a built-in camera on my laptop. When I add a Video Capture Device to my source, it defaults to that first and it works but when I switch to my camera, it freezes to the frame when I click to set to "HD USB Camera"

I have exactly the same problem, my camera works fine standalone, but when I try to add it as a source in PBS the screen is blank. I've checked the configuration and they all seem okay?

Manually specify a supported resolution, FPS, and video format. Don't use "Device Default".

Having the same issue... Worked fine before most recent update; I checked and changed the settings from "device default" and it still does not show up on video capture.

Sometimes I run into that issue also. I'm not sure what causes it but I don't think its a setting issue. I usually activate and deactivate the camera multiple times before it comes on. I also restart OBS. Right now I have OBS running with one camera. I can deactivate the camera, shut OBS down, bring it back up, activate the camera and all is good. I added another Video Capture Device and it came right on after a couple of seconds. Maybe you can post the current log file when this is happening? Deactivate the camera, shut OBS down, bring it back up, Activate the camera. It should come up after a few seconds. If not, post the log file.

I also have this issue, I opened a thread around a month ago with no answers. I asked Fenrir in another thread and got information that I already knew, or it didn't help. It's incredibly frustrating that I can't get this to work.

Additionally I also get this when I try troubleshooting the device, even though I have it plugged in to a USB 2 port with a USB 2 cable.

I still get freezing when I open my webcam properties. I have no other program that accesses the webcam, and my monitors have no built in webcams. It worked before the Windows 10 Creator's update, and then after the update it broke.

My webcam only outputs in MJPEG, which I'm sure is part of the issue.

I got the same problem till yesterday. My "Video Capture Devices" are not working anymore. The webcam is blackscreened and the elegato just say "wait please"... Before the update came all works fine.

Edit: Okay i got it. I just updatet the Nvidia drivers and now my camera works. Maybe u have to try this!
