Camera is ALWAYS on?

Hey guys,

Even thought I have my camera set to "Deactivate when not active" my Camera is ALWAYS on if OBS is open. The only way to prevent that from happening is by disabling it before opening OBS, and then re-enabling it after OBS is open. Ironically, then it just doesn't work at all in OBS.

Obviously, this is not intended behavior?

What could be the issue? It's a fresh install of windows, so my program list is literally less than a page long. Nothing should be using my webcam when OBS is open, even if it's not activated.

Issue is still happening. Fresh install after deleting all OBS data.

Please provide a new log file.
Also a screenshot of the video capture device properties.

Make sure all your video device sources (there's at least 4) have this selected:

If you change to a scene where the source is present the camera will be active always.
And finally, if another programe is using the camera, like a vtuber one, you should contact them for support on this. Normally the camera is always on when using this.
