Question / Help Cam wont show up?

so i got a new cam, seems to work fine. I went to do my first stream with it and i opened obs and my cam didnt start, went to properties and it was selected etc but still didnt come up. Im so confused i finally got it to work after deleting source and restarting pc multiple times but it just goes the next time i open obs. any help?
