Question / Help c922x Randomly disconnects with Studio

I recently got a new Logitech c922x webcam to use for my video capturing. I used it for one stream building my new rig, and then ever since transferring it over to the new rig it will randomly disconnect only while using OBS. This disconnect happens anywhere from almost instantly to a couple hours into OBS being opened. Usually the time frame is between 5-10 minutes. I have updated all drivers and have even contacted Logitech and ASUS. Logitech sent me a brand new cam but still having the same issues. Changed a few setting in my bios (ASUS) recommendation and that didn't work. Last thing I can think of is some compatibility issue with OBS or I have overlooked a setting. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

You mean, you got Windows notification that device was disconnected and then new device connected? (also, Please post a log with your issue! Here's how...)

How much USB devices you have connected? Try to disconnect all USB devices you have. And use only cam connected. Usually disconnection caused by HW faults (PC or device side). Also, check Windows log (Event Viewer), usually it has some info on system events.

There wasn't a popup notification or anything like that, just the sound that a USB device is unplugged. Below is the log for the cam from a windows side, couldn't find a nice extract function so just copied and pasted. OBS log is attached at the bottom.

Windows Event Viewer - any errors on USB devices or so?

Try other USB port. Do you have same problems with headset? (I assume, this is USB device too - the log has errors)

How many USB ports you have? Probably your motherboard has two USB controllers, try both. Or just find another PC where you can plug your camera and run OBS Studio.

There's 10 USB 3,0 ports in the back, 2 USB 3.1 ports as well as 4 USB 2.0 in the front. The issue with "just" finding another computer to plug it in to is the fact that I just spent a lot of money building this PC to have it not work....

I mean, temporary plug it to other (friend's PC) to see if you camera works OK with the OBS Studio.

As for ports, try each USB 2.0 first, then 3.0, then 3.1.

Ya I used it on my laptop, before making this rig and it seemed to work fine, never had a DC issue. And I have tried literally ever port. =(

Probably, this is motherboard's fault. If there any software updates, including firmware (BIOS) - update it.
