Question / Help Buying new desktop. Need help!?

Okay, so I currently have a pretty nice laptop for streaming my PS4 gameplay but I want to upgrade. My computer usage is way to high when running OBS which makes it really the only thing I can have open when streaming and I would like to multi-task.

My current Specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i&-5500u CPU @ 2.40 GHz
8GB ram

Like I said this is a laptop and Im looking to spend about 500-700$ on a desktop. Does anyone have any ideas?

What sort of comp specs should I be focusing on?

I'd take a look at PC Part Picker, UK link below, there is a US site as well. This is a cool site for working out what budget and specs you can manage as there are loads of builds at different price points.
