Bundling project to make transfer to different computer easier?

Hello,

a feature that I haven’t seen, though I would be the first to say I am not adept at OBS yet, is the ability to easily transfer a project from one computer to another. Another program that I use frequently does this, Qlab, and it immensely helpful when I want to rough program a show on my home computer and then bring it to the work computer. It puts all the contents and control files in one folder that is immediately addressable and synced when I move that folder to another computer. I haven’t been able to do this with OBS. Is there a way to do this? If not, it would be a nice feature for the future.
Thanks.

You can export and import, however the file paths will be different between systems.

The export files are .JSON files though, which can easily be edited with a text editor to change the paths.

I do this regularly and it works well.

By being thoughtful in advance, it is easy to have the same paths available on my both computers (even Windows, just DON'T use the default \Users\ path)

So relatively easy to export Scene Collection, copy source folders (if such is applicable, for me I mix live and pre-recorded videos... so it does matter). Then beware of plug-ins and their settings (as that is outside of OBS).

And then you have device enumeration, for mic and cameras.. so doable now, with forethought and either matching gear or select updates/edits to settings to account for differences between systems

All of my paths still have my user device names on my Mac, so I always have to edit the paths in the JSON files.
