Used a profile and scene for recording audio, and since I don't need video it's just a black screen, lowest bitrate possible at 720p.
Clicked Stop Recording, it said "Stopping Recording" and time kept increasing. Paused recording, but couldn't unpause. Clicking Stop button toggled between blue and red button.
Tried a suggested fix from Youtube to click Start Streaming, no effect on bug.
Tried clicking Start Replay Buffer, OBS UI froze entirely and got this screenshot before terminating it:
Was furious at OBS until realizing the evidence I recorded was playing back fine from disk, but couldn't rename it; it was locked by obs-ffmpeg-mex.exe:
