Hello there! I just happen to join the forum because I'm looking for an alternative to Xsplit, which I've been using for about +3 years, yet I'm looking to give OBS Multiplatform a try, since I see they've finally made an understandable & powerful GUI for streaming purposes.
Just to give you a heads up, I'm running a Switchable Graphics Card Radeon HD 6630M on my laptop & I'm running on the Windows 7 OS to boot...
I've been having issues with Avermedia's LGP working only on the first boot of OBS, once per OBS session, per Windows session...the moment I close and re-open the feed will be permanently black for the rest of the Windows session...until I restart, rinse & repeat!
The other issue I've noticed is that when I switch feeds from one console to another...the feed will switch automatically, but after 20 min (give or take) or so the feed will completely freeze on a single frame and proceed to not work for the rest of the Windows session and will be unable to close the program...and even when it does close, it remains open in the 'processes' under task manager.
My question is now...is this a common issue, something being worked on, or is it an issue that I stand alone in?
If there's a solution...how do I go about it? I want to solidify my stay within the OBS family! It's the first time I'm able to stream at 60FPS & at 720p without hiccups in this laptop that I use for streaming...Xsplit is a memory hog, and I'm ready to leave it behind for OBS strong future! :D
