Buffer frames. to prevent ocasional dropped frames.

Hi guys! Ive been using starlink to do big event streams.

What is going on is that sometimes theres gonna be some dropped frames (when switching satelites)

Does obs have a setting where it buffers the footage so it will always upload lost frames?

Because we have 30 to 50 mbps upload. but sometimes the rate drops to like 2 mbps for like 3 seconds. then its stable again for 30 minutes or more.

But that drop is always being noticeable

My idea is that the stream has like 3 seconds delay, if some frames are dropped they can be reuploaded. and will never be lost. and all the footage will arrive with no issues to the stream.

Do we have anything like this?

You can activate Settings > Advanced > Network > Dynamically change bitrate to manage congestion. This will reduce bitrate dynamically and avoids the stream buffering on your viewer's side. If there is a reconnection if you're switching satellites, activating Settings > Advanced > Stream Delay > Preserve cutoff point (increase delay) when reconnecting and setting a small delay in the first place.
