Browser Source not working on Windows 7 (Tried OBS 19, 20, 21 and 22)

I use a laptop with Win7 to stream so my gaming PC can just run the games. I used the StreamLabs chat widget to have the chat visible on screen, however for some reason it stopped working yesterday and hasn't worked again since. I tried deleting everything, re adding the sources, I reinstalled OBS several times, including different versions but no dice. OBS 22 on my laptop just won't work with Browser Sources, however that exact version works on my gaming PC when I tried it out. Is there any way to fix this that doesn't rely updating the laptop to Win10? I don't really want to add Microsoft bloatware+botnet to that laptop when it already worked good enough to stream.

1. Windows 7 is not supported.
2. Older versions of OBS are not supported.
3. Try OBS 26.1.1 as that was the last version to support Windows 7 (according to some thread).

27.2.4 is the newest version of OBS that officially supports windows 7, but as mentioned, windows 7 is no longer supported.

I'd need to check tomorrow, but the Browser Source shouldn't be affected, should it? It's not like the widget is checking on what OS I'm running when it's running on a Browser source, right? I did got google.com as a test to show up.

The browser source runs a chromium browser engine which version also depends on the version of the OS. So, if the chromium version on a particular OBS version still supports Win 7, then it should work.
On the other hand, if the web resource you're trying to access with the browser source needs a more updated version of the browser engine in order to be displayed, then you hit a big wall.

Thank you, this version did the trick!

Thanks for the replies, I've just been so disapointed at every Microsoft Windows OS after 7, it's all been bloat and cumbersome (8 was just awful), so I really want to avoid updating the OS as long as I can on this laptop (at least until I get a better machine to serve as the broadcaster unit).
