Had a weird issue tonight that I'll post in the Mac forum, but I had the same problem on my windows machine. We stream to a FB group btw, that's prolly a culprit but I dunno at this point.
Everything runs smooth with OBS and the DAW that feeds stream audio, but shortly after I open any browser to setup a stream portal the whole system just locks up. OBS starts lagging visually, every application lags, the whole system goes into overdrive and essentially locks up.
It started with our studio PC. I clean installed several versions of OBS and tried different browsers, but had the same issue. I switched to my Macbook Pro which is wayyy beefier than the PC and replicated the exact same thing, including clean reinstalls of OBS and Chrome. OBS and DAW run fine but shortly after I open any browser the whole system just craps out.
The only solution I could find was to run OBS on the PC and copy the stream key and access the stream portal from my MBP. Worked flawlessly, zero issues. It might be a FB issue, but I tried to get to Twitch and it was locking up before I could even log in. It seems to be a browser related issue, regardless of Chrome/Safari/etc
