I assume the NDI installations changed some configuration and that's why OBS won't run. I have zero familiarity w OBS, since I just installed it and was taking a peek around, trying to get sources to connect. I did have it running and it recognized the NDI source (my iphone cam) in the source list, but didn't actually stream it to the canvass. Something happened and OBS crashed. Won't start ever since. Have deleted all the NDI tools (although I know I installed 5 and only found 4 to delete, so somewhere there is something I haven't removed) and deleted/reinstalled OBS. Don't know where the NDI plugin is stored, if that is what is crashing OBS. Not sure how to attach full crash report, but here's a screenshot. Thanks for any insights you may have.

Also: just noticed a new "shared" PC showing up in the sidebar of finder windows. Gibberish name. I read about this glitch, but the timing is suspicious. I think it's the server that the NDI hx camera app streams to, and OBS is supposed to subscribe to, to get the video feed. I don't understand the nuts & bolts of this, but read something about NDI that makes me think this sudden new "shared" PC is related to the NDI setups and OBS crashing. Maybe relevant?

okay this is a long shot, but I just came here to find a solution to my own OBS problem that will no longer lauunch on my mac.

So by accident I clicked on the OBS icon in the menu bar and lo and behold that reveals the app. I had turned on this feature last night and forgot about it this morning. Turns out OBS is hidden from the system until you bring it forward with this menu icon. Maybe you were clicking around and set this feature by mistake without knowing. Maybe its tucked up in the menu and not actually crashed.

Good luck, hope its simple like that

thanks. no unfortunately it really crashes, and generates a lengthy crash report. I might try reinstalling the NDI tools, then uninstalling.
