For several years I've been using a Black Magic Design UltraStudio Mini Recorder to convert HDMI video output from my 2017 MacBook Pro to input via Thunderbolt to my older iMac running High Sierra and OBS 24.0.6. iMac has the latest BMD Desktop Video Setup app (11.7).
I livestream two, two-hour shows a week using OBS, and use the USMR to connect the 2017 MBP, running Keynote with slides and videos, to the iMac running OBS.
All works beautifully, EXCEPT sometimes an image or video with bright red in it renders in OBS on the iMac with small greenish flecks that flicker in what should otherwise be red space.
No such problem if I connect the output of the USMR to, say, a video monitor.
The issue goes away if I reduce by 10% or so the exposure or saturation of the image in Keynote, but that's a bit of a pain to check each image and, if necessary, make an adjustment.
Have tried any number of other settings/fixes/work-arounds to no avail. Any advice much appreciated! -TFE
