Question / Help Blurry text compared to OBS Classic

Hi all,

Here is the deal. I am performing a local recording of a window mode game, and I have noticed that after tweaking the settings (by consulting the forum), the better quality I could get was a text which was a bit blurry and also the text color across the same line of text was varying from grey to white. Also the game icons were a bit blurry.

Even with setting the video settings to "Normal" and selecting the best quality settings, which produce huge files, I could not get any better results.

Now, I tested the same with OBS Classic, and the text and icons were amazingly crisp, just like in the game.

Since OBS studio is the way forward, I would really like to have this solved and switch back to it from the Classic version which is becoming obsolete(?)....

Thx

P.S. I am posting from work and I cannot upload any log files at the moment.

You seem to be rescaling the source in Studio somehow, you can clearly see a black bar on the right side of the second video.

Omg...You were spot on :)...right clicked on preview area --> fit to screen = no more blurry text :)

i did not know that the preview can affect the actual recording.

Thx a million mate :)

The preview shows you how your sources are arranged. If you resize or otherwise modify something there then yes it will be the same way in the output video. That's the whole point of having a preview. :)
