Blurry stream/recordings

I am streaming on twitch and my stream is more blurry than other streams.

Please describe what do you mean with "blurry" (and to which grade/heaviness), giving a screenshot or a link to your video. The OBS-log ist not very helpful this way...

I hope it is fine to post a clip here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1046505089

Hhm. After switching from "automatic" to "1920x1080 (Quelle)" in the twitch player it looks sharp to me in general. Just in between full frames it looks a little bit dizzy in regards of text overlay (sharp edges on font do pixelise). But even the edges of your headphones on your webcam overlay look very sharp. You told that you switched the encoder meanwhile?

Not only the bitrate renders into the final result but the settings how much encoding power you invest, too. So settings from "fast" to "slow" (if possible for your cpu) and profile "main" could do the trick. There are appropriate (accodingly) features to set in the NVENC too. There are lots of video with tipps and hints regarding this around.

Yeah the last clip/video is with CPU Encoding the one before is with the AMD Graphics Encoder.

I think the CPU Encoder looks better but it drops much more FPS.

Jepp, that sounds not good. Dropping frames does mean that the encoder has done its work for nuts (frames too late).
I don't have any experience with the AMD hardware thing, but maybe others reply on your post.

One last hint for the x264-Encoder: Try with "fast" or "faster" instead of "medium" to get rid of dropping, but set keyframes to 2 and play around with the profile setting to "main", if that makes it any better.

nono sorry I think this is a miss understanding. I dont drop frames in OBS Studio. I mean my ingame frames are much lower :). But the streaming quality looks better so I will try to use the CPU Encoder until someone can help me with the Graphic Cards encoder.

I was running it on medium and I will try to use slow for even better quality.

I run a AMD Ryzen 9 5900X and a Radeon RX 6900XT.

Start with checking the Box "Ignore streaming service setting recommendations" under settings -> stream, you can set what ever you want but the bitrate will not go over 6000 if that is not checked.
Set your video bitrate to 8250 kbit/s, your audio bitrate to 160 kbit/s and use x264 medium as encoder. That is a good start point to compare with other streams.

Thanks I will test it.
