Blur/Dissolve Camera Edge (Question/Help)

So, I downloaded a Blur plugin and have been messing around with image masks trying to figure out how to accomplish something, but have been failing rather consistently to pull it off. I figured I'd ask here to see if there is an easy way to do this that a newbie like me is failing to understand.

What I would like to do is create a blurred/dissolved edge at the edge of a series of video captures that would have the appearance of dissolving from one video to the next. All on screen sources, all present at the same time. I know I'm failing to describe what I'm going for in words, so I'll try and attach a picture to better explain.

You can use an Image Mask for this, to set the alpha gradient of a source. Create a black and white image as your alpha-map, add an Image Mask/Blend filter to the source, choose 'Alpha Mask (color channel)' as the type, and point it at your mask image. I use this to give my face-cam a soft edge so it's less jarring when I reach out-of-frame.

That only creates a shaped border though, unless I'm not understanding you... and not the effect I'm trying to describe.
I'm trying to get rid of the hard borders that a mask gives and create a blurred/fuzzy border between cameras that I can overlay on top of one another.
