Bluetooth issue

Have a problem with sound to wireless bluetooth earbuds. My basic setup - I have iTunes and SWTOR both running before starting OBS (game has to be on before and iTunes so that the miniplayer window will appear). I also have Snap Camera running for the cam lenses. And of course the browser for the streaming service. Haven't had any problems until I recently got Razer BT earbuds. Now as soon as I start OBS the sound cuts out. Previously it was "fixed" if I disconnected and then reconnected the BT earbuds, now even that does not work, neither does turning BT off in settings and then turning it back on. When I searched for solutions earlier a lot of the posts were from 3-4 years ago. Is this still an issue and how do I fix it or get around it? Thanks for any help.

There are numerous more recent discussions of folks having issues with Windows Bluetooth audio... part Windows OS design, part drivers, part user expectations not aligned with actual hardware capabilities.
Obviously, wired connections (ethernet, audio, etc) are far more reliable and consistent .. simple physics
but if wired connection not desired, then it sounds like you have an OS issue to resolve, nothing to do with OBS. Though once you add OBS to the mix, there are implications with OBS 'locking' audio (and video) sources and maybe its that interaction that is causing you an issue... sorry, at this point, getting outside my area of expertise...

just chiming in before those with more knowledge in this area possibly chime in. I recall more recent postings by some frequent and very knowledgeable folks on her regarding Windows and Bluetooth. I'd start there.
- basic OS sanitation step would be to go into OS level audio, clean out unused drivers, disable audio device not in use (ex HDMI audio on a monitor never connected, etc). Then new to Win10 (iirc) is audio devices security permissions.

Let us know if your comments about 'fix' is at OS level, or only within OBS (and Razer BT's working fine at OS level when not working in OBS)?
