Hi Everyone..I'm about to order this: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/ca/products/intensity (thunderbolt version) to capture Nintendo Switch/PS4 video feed into OBS. I'm going down this road as I have a mid 2011 iMac thunderbolt (not USB 3). Is there any issues getting this to work in OBS? I understand this is a very specific setup, I'm hoping that someone here has experience with it. I'd hate to buy it, and have trouble returning it if it doesn't work. I've read some things about using Syphon capture to do this. any help, or advice appreciated.

Syphon is basically dead in Mojave and above, so I hope you haven't updated past High Sierra. (I haven't.)
I have had no significant issues with the USB3 version of the shuttle, but no experience with the Thunderbolt one, sorry.
Depending on your settings you may find it challenging to get good performance out of that machine with OBS while running MacOS.

I have Sierra and refuse to upgrade it. It's a mid 2011 iMac with 20GB of ram and thunderbolt (not usb3)...I already livestream minecraft and other games with syphon in OBS for the past 18 months at 720p...no issues...I just never had a capture card working on this before.
