Question / Help Blackmagic Intensity Pro Grey Input HDMI

I am trying to record video using my Blackmagic Intensity Pro (non-4k) with the HDMI input. I was previously using version 0.11.1 and it was working fine. I was having problems with a different s-video capture card and updated with the latest version in the master branch on the git repo. Every time I tried to install using the ppa on Ubuntu 14.10 it installed version 0.11.1. So now I'm on version 0.16.6 and the analog card is working but am getting grey video (no luminance channel?) through HDMI. It looks like this:

The image should look more like this:

The problem does not exist when I view the input through Blackmagic's Media Express on the same computer.

I found a commit in September that updated the Blackmagic SDK: https://github.com/jp9000/obs-studio/commit/94b6943f27d45fb0b0dd2e1a7167c7ca987c3543 . I'm wondering if that is the problem. I will be trying a commit from before that next to see if that fixes it.

Going back to 0.11.1 did not fix the problem either. The card still works correctly in Media Express though. I'm going to try reinstalling Ubuntu and setting everything up from scratch to see if that makes a difference.

this is weird cause intensity pro works fine on my end although im running xubuntu and you seem to be running base ubuntu i am guessing it could be a graphics driver issue as well if so i did a post about it of course if you have and nvidia gpu and the proprietary drivers installed you should not be getting issues like this
