Question / Help BlackMagic Design Intensity pro 4k as hardware encoder?

Hi. I'm looking forward to buying this card and would like to know if it'll work as avermedia livegamer hd does now - can I encode video with it thus reducing load on my videocard and cpu? Or is it only for screen recording purposes and lacks hardware encoder? I was unable to find this info myself.

Capturing with it is obvious. I mean saving stream's record with it instead of stream encoder...

This will only allow you to see video from various sources, such as dvd player, camcorder, ps4, ps3, xbox etc ... on your pc. That is all it does. You pc still has to do all the work to stream the video. So its an expensive universal adapter. Thats all it is.

Ok, thx. Than, I hope it'll be able to record in parallel with obs stream without lagging the stream as recording with avermedia in paralle does. :-)

OBS can stream and record to a file with different bitrate settings but needs more processing. All is done by the CPU not by the card.
