Black segments glitch in version 30.1.2

There's a glitch when recording an MP4 file from a VHS source on my MacBook Pro M1. I have recorded a couple of 3-hour-long tapes without major issues, but from time to time the video source goes black for a couple of minutes and then comes back. After finishing the recording, the final video has some black segments. I have to close the app and restart the recording, but the black segments appear again at different points. It usually happens in the third hour of recording, so it may have to do with the cache or memory limit.
Any advice?
