Black screen when trying to record from VCR

I have a VCR attached with RCA cables to a REDGO Video Audio VHS VCR USB Video Capture Card to DVD Converter Capture Card Adapter. I press Start Recording but the screen remains black. Your program does recognize the capture card. I am running WIndows 10 on a desktop PC.

Okay so I solved the video problem but cannot get audio. Using the capture card listed above, what do I set the different audio setting to like Desktop, Mic, etc?

I'm not an expert, but would like to help you. If I were troubleshooting this is what I would do. Label your source so it is found easily. Then I would play the video and see what is showing up then see if it is muted or not. Or, the more intelligent way is to go into the Main settings (many more options there) - Audio- then find the customized settings for OBS to recognize your device as an input. Sometimes just trying a few things you'll find it. Good Luck!

Thanks! A review writer for the software pointed out that I did not have an audio input! I just assume a video capture input would include video and audio. Seems to work now.

I had the same problem, turns out the jack colors on the capture card didn't match the plug colors on the output from my video camera. The red from my camera had to go to the yellow of the capture card.
