black screen when do screen recording (Big Sur)

Hi All,
I faced out with the issue that I must to delete and re-create every time source (Display Capture) when I want to do screen recording otherwise I see black screen in recorded video.
Security & Privacy → Privacy → Screen Recording → OBS.app is checked
Any help please?

i am having the same issue!

the display capture works each session that i add it. However, once i exit OBS and start it again for the next time/session, it shows black screen and "Device not found or connected" status. Same for Audio output capture.

I am on Big Sur v11.5 and OBS v27.0.1

I am having this same issue. When first opening or restarting OBS, my built-in display for my Macbook Pro is black and gives me an error that says, "Device not connected or available." Removing and re-adding the device solves the issue, it's frustrating to have to do this every time.

I am also since Friday 17th experiencing black screens received over my home LAN for pc or Mac into OBS or NDI to Spout methods that have worked for months..no new updates,,,, or new settings... I am also sending using NDI outputs rom VJ software VDMX, which was working and now only black is at the other end - what is going on ? ( I have Intel MBP, M1 Mac 16 gig model and a NUC PC )

I was having this same problem. I eventually reset OBS by deleting the various configuration files in the hidden folder: Library->Application Support->obs-studio. I learned how to do that from this video: https://youtu.be/KuNVkk07Hc4

I'm a new user so I'm not sure if my problem was the same as what others are experiencing. I was playing with the Crop/Pad filter effect when suddenly I got a black screen for all inputs and couldn't get it to go away.
