Question / Help Black Screen on Ubuntu 18.04

Window Capture (Xcomposite) gives a black window for bash terminal, chrome, etc. (OBS itself works fine as a captured window). All the other "fixes" in the forums have failed to do anything.

Ubuntu 18.04
Nvdia 390
Gnome on Xorg 11
libglu1-mesa 9.0.0-2.1build1

Ideas?

Hello, I am using Kali Linux and I have the same black screen. I have installed my Nvidia drivers and ffmpeg but still it is not working. Must I configure the nvenc for this to work? and is there any other work around?
