Hi all, I'm trying to use OSB to record game play footage from my Acer laptop, Nvida Geforce 940M. It sets up fine, but when I open OBS, I see a black screen, not my desktop, and when I press "start recording" I get:
Starting the output failed. Please check the log for details.
Note: If you are using the NVENC or AMD encoders, make sure your video drivers are up to date.

If I go into settings, I think the issue is in the output tab: if I make the encoder Hardware (NVENC) the recording doesn't happen. If I make it Software (x264), I get a black screen with audio.
How can I get the video to record with the audio ? Is it not possible for me on a laptop ? If not, what software would you recommend I use so that I can get audio, game play, and face cam all recorded ?
