Question / Help Black Screen on Desktop

After trying to run Game Capture on my laptop (which has Intel and AMD video cards), I've been trying to run Game Capture on my desktop. I figured it would work on my desktop. However, I'm still getting the black screen whenever I try to run Game Capture. My desktop has an AMD Radeon HD 6700 graphics card, but no other graphics cards. I'm wondering if there's a way to make OBS Game Capture work with this set up or not.

Alternatively, I've been trying to use Display Capture to record a video game instead, but the video game (which usually runs on 800x600 resolution) only takes up about a third of the screen after I record it, with the rest of the screen being black. Is there a way to either increase the resolution of a game or edit the recording so that it can zoom in to the area that I want?

If your game has 800x600 resolution, you should set the OBS canvas and output size to 800x600 as well. These are in Settings->Video. Currently, you have a canvas size of 1280x720, and of course 800x600 only occupies a part of that. You can also scale up the source in OBS (right-click the game capture source in OBS->Transform->fit to screen , but this makes no sense - it's better to record the native resolution of the game and let the media player do any scaling when you play the video.
