Bug Report Black Screen on Capture

I'm honestly so fed up with OBS it's a miracle I haven't uninstalled it yet. I have so many issues with it it's infuriating. So I was trying to record a game and have a facecam in the corner with a webcam. The facecam worked fine. However, there was no audio and the actual game itself was just a black screen. And I've tried it with other types of captures too (like display) and it still gives me a black screen. If you have any questions regarding my specs or anything like that I would be more than happy to answer them.

Also what game are you trying to capture?

it doesn't matter what game i try to record. It's a black screen either way

There are a group of games by the same developer that are all black screening because the game developer hasn't updated their anti-cheat whitelist.

Like I said I can try to capture anything and it gives me a black screen

CAT Interstellar, Team Fortress 2, Garry's Mod, To The Moon to name a few

Do you have any overlays enabled aside from steam's one?

Nope just steam

Quick Update: I tried to record with several other softwares and I'm still getting a black screen so I think it's my laptop
