Question / Help Black screen of death

Hi guys,

I just put together a new computer and now when I try to game capture (Any game) all I get is a black screen. and after, if I check back, the line that says Window in the Game capture settings is red and the game is not in the list anymore.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall OBS
I tried to run OBS as Administrator
I tried windows compatibility mode
I checked the Nividia 3D setting and made sure i didn't have integrated graphics conflict
My GPU drivers are up to date
Anti-Cheat Hook is enabled
I don't know much about Xsplit but it doesn't seem to work in it either

So now i'm stuck capturing my whole monitor, it's the only thing that works.

I don't know what to do anymore :(

What game are you trying to capture?

Also you seem to have a number of failures in your log. Did the OBS install/update not complete, or are you running some type of Anti-virus?

Also did you install the vs2013 and DX runtimes?

Visual Studio 2013 runtimes may be required by certain plugins. Download and install both vcredist_x86.exe and vcredist_x64.exe from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784

Missing DirectX components? Download the DirectX Web Installer from http://obsproject.com/go/dxwebsetup | If the web installer won't work, try the DirectX Dependency Fixer from http://obsproject.com/forum/resources/directx-dependency-fixer-dxfix.87/

I am trying to capture Forza Horizon 3 and BF1. I also tried several more and not any of them work.

OBS installation went fine.

Visual Studio and Direct X are installed. BUt i reinstalled anyway to be sure and still nothing.. just a black screen

I just tried an old game and it work. In the list it has the same name in .exe and window.


The games that don't work are like this in the list:
(ApplicationFrameHost.exe) : Forza Horizon 3
