Question / Help Black screen in game capture

So I've been wanting to record gameplay for the past few days and whenever I try to do it, there's just a black screen in the software itself and in the recording too. Can anybody tell me how to fix this?

Have you tried watching the tutorials on youtube?
maybe your PC doesn't have the power to show the in-game action! (I had this problem with the beta version and also with some games that are very demanding, like Battlefield 1)

You should:
1 watch the tutorials and do a short stream test and watch the results
2 - lower your in-game and desktop resolutions and set OBS streaming resolution the same like your desktop's and game's resolution. Keep lowering the resoltuion untill you see the stream test results you want.

You should also run OBS as ADMIN! (I see you don't!)
