Hi all, I've been at this for about an hour and half now, and I'm a bit lost. I'm currently attempting to use game capture for RE3 and I am getting a black screen with audio. After browsing Google, it looks like this is a somewhat common problem. I've tried everything I saw and nothing seems to work. I am hoping someone can shine some light on how to fix this.
My display capture is able to capture the game, but it does so at like 10-20 fps, which is not really ideal. Another thing I noticed is that OBS would also crash after attempting to record about 20-25% of the time. I'm not sure if either of these are relevant.
What I have done so far:
- Update graphics driver
- Power cycle machine
- Turn Game mode on/off
- Toggle Compatibility Mode
- Try running as admin/normal
- Reinstalling OBS
- Uncheck anti-cheat
- Disable Steam overlay
- Attempt to record other games
- Using the automated log file analysis on OBS website
- Altering OBS graphic settings normal/power saving/high performance
- Change output format mp4/flv
- Clearing all sources and recreating new game capture
- Capture any full screen
- Closing all other applications
- Changing OBS priority
- Starting game first before OBS and also the other way around
- Restarting game
For background knowledge, I have successfully captured games before, but the last time I've done it is December 31, 2019, so it's possible I just haven't toggled on the right settings with the update. Below is a log that I've created in which I cleared my scenes, created a new game capture, and recorded for 30 seconds. If anyone can help me fix this, that would be amazing. I'm a bit frustrated at this point.
