We are using a BMD Decklink Mini Recorder. BMD support told us to install Desktop Video V10.8.5. We get video from our Aida PTZ-X20-IP camera in media express via HDMI. But when I try to add it as a source in OBS 25.0.8 Black Magic Device isn't listed as a source to select. Video Capture device doesn't as mentioned multiple times on this forum. If I install the newest desktop software (V11.5.1) the capture card is not detected by the BMD setup program but Black Magic Device is listed as a source in OBS. Please help! Thanks for your time.

You probably need to update the firmware (I had to do this). You can do this by installing Desktop Video. Get the newest version at https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support/family/capture-and-playback . Make sure to follow the instructions extactly to update it. You don't need to register; just click the Download Only link in the bottom left.
By firmware do you mean installing the latest desktop video software because we did that. Or is there another step to update the firmware on the capture card? We have the version of desktop video installed that BMD support told us to install. We have a different camera back in April that we couldn’t get working so we called them. It turned out the camera wasn’t compatible with Decklink Moni Recorder.

This was the solution provided in https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/cant-find-blackmagic-device-in-obs-23.101377/ and it worked for me but I use a Blackmagic Design UltraStudio Mini Recorder - Thunderbolt device.
