black and white capture of Colecovision

I notice my TV isn in colorn when I play Coleco, using a VCR as a tuner and going to channel 4. The VCR feed to te TV is good, but the capture card has 2 issues.

One is OBS is showing tBladck and White fgootage. THe other is normally I use Easy Cap Player and get OBS to show a wiondow of the game. When I tried that, it saids I had a dc60+ when I needed a DC60. Now I have to use the Easy Cap S Vidoe as a video source.

I could take this back, and get a refund, get a replacement, or keep it.

I read something that OS 10.12 diid something screwy with the Composiute and S Vidoe capture cards to make them no longer work well. How true is that rumor? Would it be worthless to get a USB capture card in S Video and Composite?

Is it true that you can get a video source directly without using LAN. Out outband bandwidth through LAN is 400k, so IO was gopimng to p[ipe a viodeo into a cellular phone and use SLOBS for Andorid to brioadcast while I use OBS for Mac to do the parts other than Broadcasting.

Wilol OBS for 10.12 recognize a Hasuppauge Rocket as a "video source", or must IO do that LAN stuff.

I think I found a workaround, use the Rocket in Standalone mode, and feed thew HDMI output to a UVC HDMI capture card.

Are all S Video and Compiosite video directly into Macs now doomed? Is the Hauppauge Rocket in Stand alone mode the only known workaround?

I have not tried, but you may have a look at El Gato products like this one:

Or the cheaper clones:

The last one works on Linux: given the price, I would give it a try.

Hello since then I plugged using real RF cable shielded as opposed to using RF to RCA converters and carrying through RCA that seemed to negotiate the maze better.

Also Radio Shack brand RCA splitters and switchers have cross S-Video composite conversion using the electricity within the signal with no external power. I figured running through that multiple times kind of confused it with black and white in color.

I figured out running through his mint as few Radio Shack stuff as possible and try an avoid converting between S-Video and composite.
