I was having this issue before with OBS Classic, and I had thought it was fixed now that I changed over to OBS Studio, but at the end of the stream log that I've linked you, I have my bitrate spike all the way down to zero despite doing nothing, having my CPU usage be at 20% at most, and with a good connection (usually with an upload between 8-10 mbps).

I've tried:

  • Streaming at a lower bitrate
  • Changing servers during and before the stream (TwitchTest always shows good results for all US servers)
  • Changing CPU Usage preset
But either way I'll consistently get anywhere from 1-3 large bitrate drops where it'll drop to zero or very close to it, and drop a large amount of frames. This sometimes is very short, but other times it persists for 3-5 minutes or just doesn't stop and forces me to end the stream (it doesn't always disconnect the stream, but often does eventually).

Is there anything else you guys would recommend trying?

Example of it happening (it either looks like this or one frame just stuck): https://www.twitch.tv/isbullets/v/67558369

sounds like you mixed settings and trying to stream with vbr, just my assumption because your log does not include streaming part

This should have the streaming part. I accidentally pulled the incorrect log file. Sadly this one didn't have it happen (or thankfully in the case of the stream) but if any of the settings are red flags to maybe be causing it that would be nice to know. I'll make sure to pull a log from the next time I have that issue.

And about trying to stream with VBR, I do have CBR enabled in the settings. Apologizes for my lack of knowledge on the topic or with the settings, but that's why I thought a post here would be the best decision.
