Question / Help Bitrate crashing to 0, dropping frames after years of no problems

Hello, I stream daily with OBS and after 2 years of doing this with no issues it has started doing so all of a sudden for seemingly no reason.

My bitrate crashes to 0 after being live for a minute or so, and then spikes up to 12,000kbs and then back to my set 3500kbs for a little while. Then it repeats.

I cannot seem to find any threads with this issue that have a solution for it.

This sounds like the behavior of an unstable connection.
Network connections are 95% out of your control entirely, and can change with you making no alterations to your system or connection.

Do post a logfile from a live streaming session where the issue occurred (there are instructions on how to do this in a pinned topic at the top of the forum), and if you are streaming to Twitch, use R1ch's Twitch Bandwidth Tester tool (https://r1ch.net/projects/twitchtest) to check the Quality score of your connection. You want at least 80, prefer 100 if possible. If you are streaming over wifi, stop and use a cabled connection instead; wifi is not designed to provide the kind of connection that livestreaming requires, and is extremely susceptible to interference.
