Understand the frustration, but hopefully you understand the whole concept of Free Open Source Software
I am not associated with the project, other than as a happy end user
On these forums, I personally skip questions that show the person hasn't RTFM, FAQs, or the pinned posts in the OS oriented forums on posting a log when appropriate. A basic concept with FOSS in general, is that an end-user is responsible for self-education (starting here for OBS Studio
https://obsproject.com/wiki/ )
if someone wants hand-holding to get started, or lacks a basic technical/computing understanding, and their questions are getting answered, offering to pay is both reasonable and a quick way to get a response. If you prefer software that has a direct support model, there are a number of streaming software packages that offer such, with an appropriate price tag.
I see lots of people spend a lot of time volunteering to help others out. My observations (and nothing more)
- Posts on the weekend tend to be the easiest to overlook/get buried
- Posts without an on-topic subject line tend to get less of a response
- Post made out of frustration without adequate detail to even know where to start a response... might easily get ignored
