NVENC uses less CPU but needs much more bitrate to get the same quality. (almost 10 times)

wow thats big exaggeration, you cant really state 2k bitrate x264 is "almost" equal to 20k nvenc. you need to run some tests
Weel, you are right.

OBS recording guide by Ritch uses 1000 kbps with x264. If you use NVENC with 5000 kbps you get close results.
with a FPS you will need more bitrate to avoid picxelation in quick movements. But for any other games maybe you woný need too much bitrate.

As you say, beter do same testing with your set up and decide your best option.

waaaa, dont compare x264 CRF method to nvenc CBR which seems to be your case. these are completely different algorithms that cannot be compared this way
