Question / Help Better CPU for 2 PC streaming setup?

Hello my fellow streaming friends!

This thread is just theoretically... Which CPU is better for a 2 pc streaming setup?
- overclocked i7700k
- non overclocked ryzen 1800x

Let's say that the i7700k is delid and watercooled and overclocked to 5,0GHz. The Ryzen 1800x stays default.

Imho the 1800x should beat the s**t out of the 7700k, just because of the fact, that he has double the cores and has nothing to do except encoding.

I've read many forum threads and the general opinions were wide devided...

Maybe someone hast good experiences with a 2 pc setup and a 1800x / 7700k in his streaming pc?

1800X for the streaming PC hands down but get fast ram, 7700K for gaming PC. I'm not sure what it caps out at, best guess is 900p x264 Slow with an 1800x, 1080p60 Medium. 1080p60 Slow is hard, it might be possible but your options are much better with the 1800x

Assuming you're encoding to 720p or so, or bigger, the Ryzen 1800x should win for sure as a dedicated encoding PC. The i7 8700k would be a different matter because it has 6 cores / 12 threads instead of 4/8.
