Hi all,
Been searching around for a solution to my problem online but can't seem to find anything about it,
Basically I'm looking to see if there's either a way for OBS Studio to behave better with DTS Surround Audio, or if there's a way to flatten out sound JUST to OBS (So that the sound played on stream is mono but I can still hear the surround/proper quality within my headset.
My Headset that I'm using is the Logitech G633 Headset which comes with the ability to either use Dolby 5.1 or DTS X Surround sound, I personally find that whenever I use Dolby the sound in ear is terrible quality compared to the DTS X. However when I stream with my surround set to DTS X the sound comes through somewhat distorted or at least of significantly lower quality than I can hear it in my ears. My assumption is that OBS Studio itself is attempting to flatten the audio for output or is having trouble understanding the audio output. My current solution has just to switch to Dolby whenever I'm streaming as it comes out best on stream that way, but I would much prefer to be able to hear my audio with DTS.
Technical Audio definitely isn't my forte so if I've suggested something that's really easy to sort apologies,
Below are my current audio settings in OBS Studio (Using Version 20.0.1)
Any help would be appreciated, I'm sure there must be a program out there that'll let me sort this kind of issue (Some kind of digital mixamp or something maybe) but I don't have the knowledge to figure out what would work and what's good/bad about any of them.
Many Thanks,
Henry
