Best way to include YouTube clip

I am new to OBS. I can't figure out what source to use to include and play a YouTube clip. I am recording, not streaming.

I saved a YouTube clip in a VLC playlist, then included the .xspf file using the OBS VLC Video Source. That worked for one day. Then apparently the clip expired.

I look forward to any help.

I found one solution I think. I opened YouTube in my browser and queued the clip I wanted to capture. Then I added Window Capture as a source and started recording in OBS. I switched screens to my browser and played the YouTube clip. When enough of the clip had played, I stopped OBS recording; a file with the .mkv extension was created. Finally, I removed Window Capture as the source for that scene and added Media Source instead, selecting the .mkv recording of the YouTube clip. This seems to work.

Of course I'm interested if there is a better way.

If you just want to download a clip from Youtube and save it on our local hd, use youtube-dl. Not OBS Studio.
