Question / Help Best settings for recording with this setup:

I'm running a R5 2600, XFX RX 580 8GB and 16gb DDR4-3000 RAM. I want to record Overwatch at 1080p60 but maintain 144fps during my games. What are the best settings to use for this? If it's not possible, I can drop to 720p60. (recording only, no streaming)

Hey mate, in your recording tab, set the "type" drop-down to "standard", recording format MKV, choose x264 as your encoder. CPU Usage Preset make it "UltraFast". In the "x264 options" field, put this "qp=0".

The rest of the options in the tab don't matter.

This will record your footage in lossless quality. The file size will be HUGE. But you will get a beautiful video and it will impact your game very little. If this causes your frame rate to drop, I don't know how you can fix it. You might be able to use AMD AMF, but I don't know how sorry, I don't have one of those graphics cards to check.

You do realize we already have a "lossless" setting right?
OP just leave Output Mode at Simple
In the bottom is the Recording Settings, just change Recording Quality to: Lossless Quality, Tremendously Large File Size
If frame loss than use the setting before lossless
