Question / Help Best settings for OBS on a slow laptop?

Basically as the title says, I'm in need of some help with my OBS settings.
I tried streaming on YouTube the other night, but the stream was super delayed, and the stream health went down all the way. I watched the stream after it was finished, and everything was delayed and the video was choppy. I could hear my voice just fine though.

The laptop I'm on is an old refurbished HP Probook, 6550b. Windows 10 pro version. Intel core i3, and 4 GB of ram.
My good old laptop was destroyed so now I'm stuck with this one.
My upload speed is 0.47.... though last night it was 0.44.
Not sure what other info I'm supposed to put here, but if anything else is needed, let me know.
And if anyone can help me with this, I'd greatly appreciate it! I wanna try livestreaming a game tomorrow. XD

Your internet isn't really capable of streaming. I would say you need at least a 3 MB upload speed to do a decent stream (5+ is recommended for best quality). You should probably get a better connection before anything else. After you get a decent connection, get a new laptop/PC. Try to get something with a pretty recent Intel CPU (i5 or i7) and some kind of dedicated GPU. There are quite a few ~ $500 laptops with these.

Thanks to CenturyLink..blegh. You know of any internet companies that have good speeds and are cheap?
My old laptop might have been able to handle streaming better, it was destroyed by my moms psycho ex, 750$ laptop.
Court dates are still going on/I can't afford to get a new laptop. If only the repair place had been able to fix my old one.
