here is the log file of me testing things:
https://gist.github.com/5b39ea43e6c8b59c6df39743519118c3

i want to be able to do 60FPS but for some reason no matter what settings i choose - i get 40-48FPS max
Other instances my game run smooth and i have no issues, but i will get a freeze every now and then on the stream itself.
CPU load never goes over 50%
anyone have experience with setting up OBS to be able to help a brotha out?

AMD Ryzen 7 1700X @ 3.4Ghz
Geforce GTX 1070
16GB RAM
Windows 10 64-bit

i would even settle for 1080p 30FPS tbh cause i would want to record to local as well at the same time for if i want to edit a youtube video together

For reference, I own a Ryzen 7 1700 and can stream consistently at 720p@60FPS or record at 1080p@60FPS. I used to have similar issues with my setup.

The following steps have helped me achieve these results:

Run OBS as admin
Enable Vsync or frame rate limiters set to 60FPS
Faster/fast preset for 720p@60FPS or Very Fast/Faster for 1080p@60FPS, depending on what I'm recording.
"High performance" Power plan

Updating your BIOS might help as well. Since Ryzen launch, support and stability has improved tremendously with newer versions.

If you need OBS configuration help, I'm willing to go through settings privately.
