Can anyone assist please
Im trying to capture from laser disc and get a clean picture
Every thing i have trier get a me artifacts mainly in the faces and other video nise
I am using the lowerst picture size and FPs 60 even tried 29.9 but no difference
The focas good reasonale

"artifacts" have nothing to do with the Size (resolution) or the frame rate
its a issue of Bitrate
you need to set for a "alltime" good image the settings of record codec to Quality and not bitrate based
related to the record type
on Nvenc use "CQP" with a value 18-25 (lower = better quality but bigger files)
on x264 it is "CRF" other name same value settings lower = better quality

on CRF/CQP the bitrate is flex related to the Image changes
on fixed or limited bitrates the image get "artifacts" if the bitrate is to small for the image changes
