Question / Help Best recording settings for QuickSync/x264?

Hi

I'm struggling to find the best recording (not streaming) settings for my laptop, as I don't have NVIDIA graphics card. The only options for encoders I have are QuickSync H.264 or x264 - which of these is best and for what settings? I'm only wanting to capture 1080p with no lag. Here's my specs:
Lenovo Ideapad 530S
Intel Core i5-8250U
64-bit x64 Windows 10
8GB RAM
Intel UHD Graphics 620
