Question / Help Best QuickSync Settings For 2 PC Stream?

I am doing a two PC setup and I have been using QuickSync since NVENC gives me a "DPC Watchdog Violation" BSOD whenever I try streaming with that...anyway, so I am wondering what are the best quality settings I can set QuickSync to in terms of settings and bitrate? The stream goes to an RTMP NGINX server on my streaming PC which encodes it in x264 then uploads. Thank you!

Let me just make sure I got this right? You are going to stream your video to another pc to have it encoded again instead of using something like a capture card.

On quicksync you should put the target usage on quality. For best quality use rate control of CQP and set the CQP to around 16-20 if that is too much data then you can set it higher or use a VBR/CBR of as high as you can go to get the best quality.

I don't know why you are getting that error with NVENC seems weird.

Yes, so the streaming PC is receiving a much higher quality picture than I could do on my gaming pc without significant hit to performance. I will try those settings, these are the settings I use now.

Yeah the NVENC thing is weird, not sure what's causing the issue because I can "shadowplay" just fine.

NVENC does run a lot different in shadowplay than it does in 3rd party programs. Probably since shadowplay was designed to run the best with the settings it uses since thats what the chip was designed for. So when it tries to do things made by 3rd parties it sometimes just can't do them.

No programs gets as good performance as shadowplay though, nothing is even close.
